TCA Limited was incorporated in 1990 after recognizing the need for importers to have access to experienced industry professionals to assist in the navigation of the labyrinth of laws and legislation administered by the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency (CCRA). In 2001 the company expanded to include transportation and distribution advisory services.
In 2003 the firm expanded once again to meet the growing demands of clients in the new trade and security environment, moving to their new head office at the Skyport Corporate Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.
Meet the President
Trent Cosgrove, the President of the firm, holds Professional designations in both Transportation (CITT) and Customs (CCS) and has served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters (CAIE) and the Canadian Industrial Transportation Association (CITA). His career has spanned from working with a large worldwide carrier, a large Canadian Customs Brokerage Operation and as the Senior Director of Corporate Operations for a “Forbes Fortune 75” Company.
He is also a frequent guest speaker on topics relating to Transportation, Customs, NAFTA, Tariff, Negotiating Techniques and Quality Systems.
Philosophy
In order to succeed in the marketplace, the corporation felt it necessary to offer distinctive services that are not customarily associated with consulting firms.
TCA is easily distinguishable from the usual consulting type firms – the company’s approach is collaborative. We will not recommend switching carriers or putting your brokerage business to bid, unless specifically requested to do so by the client. Instead, TCA’s advisors work closely with the client to make recommendations to enhance and improve the practices currently employed. The client then decides which aspects of the improvement plans they wish to adopt. We can implement the enhancement plans or leave this phase with the client. Remember, we are not financially or contractually aligned with any service providers. We are your truly unbiased independent Advisors.

We will not recommend a carrier or broker change unless specifically requested to do so.
